Product Description
The Ford GT40 was a high-performance endurance racing car. Developed in 1963, it was designed to take on the dominant Ferrari racing team at the 24 hours of Le Mans. It's among the few cars to have won the prestigious race four times in a row, 1966 to 1969!
The GT40's success was due in large part to its innovative design. The car was much lower and more aerodynamic than anything else on the track which provided a serious advantage over the competition. Built on a lightweight aluminum chassis and powered by a 7.0-liter V8 engine that produced a top speed of 205 mph.
