1/18 BBR Ferrari F40LM (Red) Resin Car Model Limited
Following numerous requests from the President of Ferrari France Daniel Marin to Enzo Ferrari to prepare a version of the F40 for the 24 Hours of Le Mans, at the beginning of 1989 two racing specimens known as the F40 LM were built in collaboration with Michelotto Automobili. .
During the first tests, the car was supervised by test driver Dario Benuzzi and, before competing at Le Mans, it made its debut in the IMSA Championship in the GTO class on the Laguna Seca circuit with Jean Alesi at the wheel. Starting in second position, the car finished the race in third place. The following season, in 1990, Ferrari France fielded one or two F40 LMs again in some rounds of the Championship, achieving a total of 4 podiums, but missing out on the hoped-for victory.
We present the version with two round headlights and two seats, the model is a true artisan masterpiece. For the replica of the rear glass we made a steel mold, so that the glass is perfectly replicated with the slits from where the enormous amount of hot air from the powerful engine.
Engine that is replicated in every detail and also visible from the rear grilles, super detailed interior with special paint used to replicate the dashboard and real fabric belts.
The models are packaged on a black alcantara base with red handmade stitching.
