At the prestigious 24-hour race at Spa-Francorchamps, the #96 Porsche 911 GT3 R, driven by Sven Müller, Patric Niederhauser and Alessio Picariello, secured a strong second place. In a dramatic finale, the team was pipped to the post by Grasser Racing’s winning Lamborghini by just 8.7 seconds.
The success at Spa was also a crucial step towards the title: thanks to consistently strong performances, Rutronik Racing secured the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup championship title for the first time at the end of the season. At the final round in Barcelona, the team clinched the championship by a single point. For Porsche and Rutronik Racing, this marked their first joint Endurance Cup title – an impressive conclusion to a successful season.
