- The HMS Hood was an Admiral-class battleship commissioned by the British Royal Navy in 1920. It was named after Samuel Hood, an 18th-century admiral, and was the lead ship of its class. The Hood had a distinguished service history, including its involvement in the Norway Campaign during World War II.
- However, the ship is perhaps most well-known for its tragic end during the Battle of the Denmark Strait on May 24th, 1941.
