Paris Motor Show 1959, Ferrari shows its new racing weapon to the public, it is the 250 GT Berlinetta short wheelbase which will soon be called with the English acronym SWB, or Short Wheel Base, it will soon become the queen of the races of duration in the hands of the official pilots and sports customers. The 250 SWB is the evolution of the 250 GT Berlinetta Tour De France with the wheelbase shortened from 2,600 meters to 2,400 metres, and the "short wheelbase" appellation was added to differentiate the two cars born above all for competitions.
The Ferrari 250 GT SWB (Berlinetta passo corta) is not only one of the sexiest cars ever but also the first Prancing Horse car equipped with disc brakes.
We present this brand new 1/18 scale model car, without the side and roof air intakes, faithful to the Paris 1959 presentation.
