- The featured article written by David Traver Adolphus takes you along for a two-day joyride with a stunning 1970 Dodge Charger R/T. A huge fan of the second-generation Chargers, Bill Parodi, has been the proud owner of this gem since 2007 and was fully restored by Larry Drozd. The car still has its complete and original drivetrain, including all factory parts down to the belts, hoses, clamps, plug and wires. Under the hood, it sports a Hemi engine and the four-speed transmission, and Comp Cams camshaft. It is one of only 112 Hemi Charger R/Ts built and only one in triple black was ever made for the American market in 1970, making it a true collector’s item.
Read about the challenges and joys of driving this beast from almost missing a chance to venture out, to cold starts, and high-speed runs. The thrill of feeling the power of the Hemi as it roars through the desert air was priceless. Once they got it going it was like the Hemi just begged to be run all day long. It surely turned some heads. Auto World is excited to replicated this highly-detailed 1970 Dodge Charger R/T dressed in triple black with charcoal black interior for you to add to your collection and enjoy for years to come.
