The 1965 Shelby Cobra 427 S/C is one of the most sought-after Shelby American performance cars, and the Hertz Gold version is the cherry on top. The initial order for the car came from Larsen Ford of White Plains, New York because Larsen wanted to use the Hertz Gold Cobra for promotional purposes. In the end, only two Hertz Gold 1965 Shelby Cobra 427 S/Cs were ever produced!
